In a historic move for a project group, WAKEONE officially announced on February 12, 2026, that ZEROBASEONE will reorganize and continue its journey as a permanent five-member act.
This decision marks a significant departure from the typical disbandment path followed by survival show groups, as five of the nine original members have committed to a “new season” of activities under the group’s name.
The news has sent waves through the global K-pop community, offering both hope for the group’s future and bittersweet closure for the original nine-member lineup formed through Mnet’s Boys Planet.
The New Lineup and Agency Transitions
The reorganized five-member version of ZEROBASEONE will consist of Sung Han-bin, Kim Ji-woong, Seok Matthew, Kim Tae-rae, and Park Gun-wook.
According to the official statement, this decision was reached following deep mutual trust and extensive discussions between the members and their respective agencies.
- WAKEONE Signings: As part of this transition, members Seok Matthew and Park Gun-wook have officially signed exclusive contracts with WAKEONE, joining Kim Tae-rae, who was already under the agency.
- Continued Management: Sung Han-bin and Kim Ji-woong will remain under their original labels—Studio GL1DE and Nest Management, respectively—but will continue to promote as core members of ZEROBASEONE under WAKEONE’s management for the group’s collective activities.
Departure of YH Entertainment Members
While five members are staying, four members—Zhang Hao, Ricky, Kim Gyu-vin, and Han Yu-jin—will officially conclude their journey with the group.
These four members, all under YH Entertainment (formerly Yuehua), have decided to return to their home agency to prepare for new beginnings.
YH Entertainment expressed deep gratitude to fans for the immense love shown to these four artists and asked for continued support as they embark on their individual paths.
Although they are leaving the group, the agency emphasized that they would ensure the smooth completion of the upcoming encore concerts and the remaining group activities scheduled through March.
Final “OT9” Activities and Encore Concerts
Despite the reorganization, fans will have several final opportunities to see all nine members together.
- Special Album ‘RE-FLOW’: The group recently released a special limited album titled RE-FLOW on February 2, 2026, which has already seen significant chart success across Korea, China, and Japan.
- World Tour Encore: All nine original members will participate in the final leg of their world tour, the “2026 ZEROBASEONE WORLD TOUR [HERE & NOW] ENCORE.” Performances are scheduled to take place at the KSPO Dome in Seoul from March 13 to 15, 2026. This concert will serve as the official farewell to the original lineup and a celebratory hand-off to the group’s new chapter.
A Legacy of “Million-Sellers”
ZEROBASEONE’s transition to a five-member group comes on the heels of unprecedented success.
They made history as the first K-pop group to achieve “million-seller” status with their debut album, Youth in the Shade, and maintained that momentum with six consecutive million-selling albums.

While the “journey of nine” has reached its conclusion, the “new season” of ZEROBASEONE promises to carry forward the group’s musical legacy into a permanent future.
