Zenless Zone Zero Version 3.1 Launches July 29 With New Agents, Second-Anniversary Rewards, and Xbox PC Release

HoYoverse has officially announced that Zenless Zone Zero Version 3.1, titled “The Long Goodbye,” will launch on July 29, bringing one of the game’s biggest content updates to date.

Arriving alongside the urban fantasy action RPG’s second anniversary, the update introduces new playable characters, a permanent game mode, limited-time events, quality-of-life improvements, and the game’s long-awaited debut on Xbox PC.

According to HoYoverse, Version 3.1 will also reward players with a free limited S-Rank Agent, valuable in-game currency, and multiple Signal Searches as part of the anniversary celebration.

Version 3.1 Introduces New Agents and Banner Updates

The headline addition is Remielle Dan, the first Lumiflux attribute Agent in Zenless Zone Zero. Her new Attribute Flux mechanic synchronizes her damage type with the next Agent in the squad, giving players greater flexibility when creating teams to exploit enemy weaknesses.

Joining her during the second phase of the update is Sigrid, an S-Rank Ice Attack Agent who specializes in aerial combat. Her Aerial Patrol Spear Form allows her to chain powerful attacks while gaining a significant CRIT Rate increase after landing her Unbridled Spear skill.

Version 3.1 also refreshes the gacha lineup with returning S-Rank characters. Aria returns in the first half, while the new Exclusive Rescreening banner lets players choose between Dialyn, Ukinami Yuzuha, and Asaba Harumasa. A matching W-Engine selection banner will also be available, with Signal Search progress carrying over between reruns.

Anniversary Rewards and New Permanent Content

To celebrate the game’s second anniversary, HoYoverse is giving every player the opportunity to claim one free limited S-Rank Agent from Jane, Anby, Hugo, Trigger, or Lucia, along with that character’s exclusive W-Engine. Players can also earn 1,600 Polychromes and 20 Signal Searches through login campaigns and special anniversary events.

Another major addition is “Enigma of the Labyrinth: Operation Bagel,” a new permanent mode where players gather supplies, strengthen their teams, escape before time expires, and upgrade a research station between runs. The mode will receive seasonal updates and share weekly progression with Hollow Zero.

Summer Event Brings New Outfits and Activities

Version 3.1 also introduces the limited-time “Summer Waves Roll In” event, sending players to the Fantasy Resort for beach-themed activities alongside Lucy, Remielle, and Sigrid.

Five new outfits will debut during the update, including beachwear for Vivian, Lucy, Sigrid, and Remielle. Lucy’s “Princess on Holiday” costume can be earned for free through the event, while Remielle’s two premium outfits will also be available as a discounted bundle.

With new gameplay systems, expanded platform support, anniversary rewards, and fresh seasonal content, Zenless Zone Zero Version 3.1 is shaping up to be one of the game’s most content-rich updates since launch.
