Japanese artist ZAQ is set to return to the Classroom of the Elite franchise with her new single “Liar Veil,” which has been selected as the ending theme for Classroom of the Elite 4th Season: Second Year, First Semester. The anime is scheduled to begin airing in April 2026, with the song releasing digitally on April 2 ahead of its physical launch later in the month.
“Liar Veil” represents ZAQ’s fourth collaboration with the series, though it marks her first time performing an ending theme for the franchise. Known for her involvement in previous openings, her return signals continuity in the anime’s musical identity while introducing a tonal shift through the ending sequence.

Musically, the track is built on a fusion of hip-hop and jazz elements, pairing a relatively minimal structure with detailed melodic layering. The composition is designed to complement the psychological tone of the series, while the lyrics, written from the heroine’s perspective, add a narrative dimension that aligns with the story’s character-driven themes.
Alongside the song announcement, official details regarding the CD release have also been revealed. The jacket artwork draws directly from the concept behind the title “Liar Veil,” presenting an eerie yet visually engaging design that hints at hidden truths.
The front cover emphasizes atmosphere and symbolism, while the back cover features characters Tsubasa Nanase and Ichika Amasawa, with protagonist Kiyotaka Ayanokoji positioned in the background. The visual composition reinforces the series’ focus on layered identities and concealed intentions.

The release schedule has been split across digital and physical formats. “Liar Veil” will first be made available digitally on April 2, 2026, allowing early access ahead of the CD launch on April 22, 2026. The physical release will retail at ¥1,320 (tax included) under product number LACM-24820.
As Classroom of the Elite moves into its next arc, “Liar Veil” is positioned to serve as a thematic complement to the unfolding narrative, combining stylistic experimentation with character-focused storytelling.
