Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Swordsmith Village Arc has introduced viewers to many upper-rank demons this season, and with that, everyone is intrigued to find out more about them and their backstories.
One of those demons is Upper Moon Four Nakime, and she is also the only female demon in the upper rank after Daki’s demise. Even though Nakime is not as popular as the other upper-rank demons, once readers see her in action, they change their opinion ever since.
Nakime has this mysterious aura, and it’s quite impossible to figure out what is going on inside her brain. All the upper-rank demons have very different personalities, and most of their actions are very predictable.
But It is almost impossible to predict Nakime’s actions; she is the ultimate weapon of Demon King Muzan, and he kept her close to himself for many years. Nakime acted as the messenger of Demon King Muzan before taking the position of Upper Moon Four.

Upper Moon Four: Nakime’s Powers
Nakime has a very unique blood demon art ability that is quite different from all the other upper- and lower-rank demons. Nakime’s first appearance in this season made it pretty clear that she can manipulate the infinite castle on her own. Nakime possesses the ability to create an infinite number of rooms and doors, and she controls all the moves with the help of her biwa, a musical instrument that she keeps close to herself in all the episodes so far.
Nakime is in charge of creating rooms according to the needs of the other upper-rank demons; she also provides the environment of the room. Basically, Nakime is the one who creates different dimensions and controls them to her own will.
It is pretty impressive how much control she has over the interior of the castle. It may seem like a simple manipulation ability, but it is so much more than that because Nakime uses her Infinity Castle blood demon art ability during combat as well.
Upper Moon Four Nakime is extremely intelligent, so all her moves and actions are very calculative. She uses castle manipulation in her best interest as she throws around many building structures in the direction of her opponent. Upper Moon Four Nakime also cleverly uses her gravity-shifting ability to make it impossible for her opponent to land any hits at all.
Upper Moon Four: Nakime’s Abilities
Upper Moon Four Nakime’s portal creation ability allows her to form portals anywhere, mostly in the form of doors. By using this ability, Nakime teleports the other demons into different rooms and spaces. We have witnessed Nakime’s teleportation ability in many instances, like when she teleports the demons for their given assignment to different geographical locations.
Upper Moon Four Nakime takes advantage of her portal creation ability to dodge incoming attacks from demon slayers and knock them down by making it impossible for them to track or reach her. Upper Moon Four Nakime has full control over her abilities, and she keeps improving herself by polishing them now and then.
So far in the anime, we have only seen Nakime sitting in the same position with her biwa; however, as the anime progresses, viewers will get introduced to her character more closely so they will witness all her hidden powers and abilities thoroughly.
