TWICE’s upcoming 11th anniversary celebration was expected to be a special occasion for the group and ONCE, but the newly announced fan event has instead triggered widespread frustration among fans.

JYP Entertainment announced on October 5 that TWICE will hold the 2026 TWICE FAN PARTY [ONCE UPON A THRI11] on October 17 to commemorate the group’s 11th debut anniversary.

The celebration will take place across three separate sessions, but only 250 fans will be allowed into each session, bringing the total capacity to just 750 attendees.

The official notice also revealed that the exact venue would not be publicly announced in advance.

Instead, selected participants will receive the location individually.

The event is limited to members of the fifth-generation ONCE official fan club who are at least 15 years old, with participants chosen through a lottery.

While the event is intended to celebrate a major milestone in TWICE’s career, the extremely limited number of available spots quickly became the main source of controversy.

Fans Question Why TWICE’s 11th Anniversary Event Is So Small

Fans expressed disappointment that only 750 people will have the opportunity to attend the anniversary celebration in person.

Considering TWICE’s enormous global fandom, many ONCEs felt that the event should have been organized on a much larger scale.

Some fans questioned why an 11th anniversary celebration had been reduced to an event accessible only to a relatively small group of lottery winners.

Koreaboo highlighted several fan reactions criticizing JYP Entertainment’s decision, with some fans describing the arrangement as disappointing and accusing the company of failing to properly manage one of its biggest girl groups.

The eligibility requirements have also become a point of contention.

Only fifth-generation official fan-club members aged 15 or older can apply, meaning many international and newer fans will not have an opportunity to attend.

One fan questioned why an anniversary celebration should become an experience reserved for a small number of lucky winners, while another pointed out that many people may have become TWICE fans during the past year and therefore would not necessarily be part of the specified fan-club generation.

The undisclosed venue has added another layer to the frustration.

At present, the official notice only identifies the location broadly as the Seoul area, with the precise venue being provided privately to selected attendees.

The Backlash Revives Complaints From TWICE’s 10th Anniversary

The latest criticism has also brought back memories of complaints surrounding TWICE’s 10th anniversary celebration.

Fans previously expressed disappointment over the scale of the group’s 10th anniversary fan meeting, arguing that the venue capacity was too small compared with the size of TWICE’s fandom.

The issue has therefore become particularly sensitive now that another anniversary event is once again being limited to a relatively small audience.

Some fans also recalled comments from TWICE members during an earlier fan meeting about wanting to hold a bigger and better event the following year.

That has led some ONCEs to question whether the concerns of both the members and the wider fandom are being adequately reflected in the planning of anniversary events.

The criticism does not appear to be about fans being unhappy that TWICE is holding an anniversary celebration.

Instead, many fans are frustrated because they believe a milestone as significant as the group’s 11th anniversary deserves an event that allows more ONCEs to participate.

TWICE debuted in October 2015 and will officially mark 11 years since their debut this month.

With the anniversary approaching, attention is now focused on whether JYP Entertainment will address the concerns surrounding the event or make any changes to its current arrangements.

For now, the 2026 TWICE FAN PARTY [ONCE UPON A THRI11] remains scheduled for October 17, with three sessions and a combined capacity of 750 fans.
