Prime Video has released the official trailer and key art for The Terminal List Season 2, confirming the return of Chris Pratt as former Navy SEAL Commander James Reece. The new season expands the scope of the action thriller beyond the revenge-driven story of its first chapter, sending Reece across multiple countries as he becomes entangled in a dangerous international conspiracy. All eight episodes of The Terminal List Season 2 will premiere on Wednesday, October 21, 2026, exclusively on Prime Video in more than 240 countries and territories.
The upcoming season is based on Jack Carr’s second novel, True Believer, and continues Reece’s story after the events of Season 1. Rather than simply repeating the character’s previous quest for revenge, the new storyline places him at the center of an espionage thriller involving powerful forces, his family history and a conspiracy stretching from Moscow to Langley.
The Terminal List Season 2 Adapts Jack Carr’s True Believer
The Terminal List Season 2 follows James Reece as he searches for a new purpose after completing the list that drove much of the first season. Based on True Believer, the story transforms his journey into a globe-spanning mission involving the Indian Ocean, Southern and Northern Africa, the Middle East and Europe.
Reece will be joined by returning characters including Raife Hastings (Tom Hopper), Katie Buranek (Constance Wu), Mohammed Farooq (Dar Salim) and Jules Landry (Luke Hemsworth). Gabriel Luna also joins the cast as Freddy Strain, while the expanded international ensemble includes Costa Ronin, Olga Kurylenko, Yul Vazquez, Martin Sensmeier, Arnold Vosloo, Jeremy Bobb and Shiraz Tzarfati.
According to Prime Video, the season’s central conspiracy will connect international geopolitical forces with Reece’s own family history, raising the personal stakes alongside the larger espionage narrative.
Chris Pratt Promises an Authentic Special Operations Story
Pratt, who also serves as an executive producer, emphasized the importance of authenticity and the show’s connection to the military community.
“This season is a love letter to the special operations community,”
Pratt said in the Prime Video announcement. He added that the production aimed to honor “the men and women who do this work” while portraying the sacrifices and realities of people who operate without seeking recognition.
That commitment to authenticity continues behind the camera. Former Navy SEAL Jared Shaw and former Army Ranger Max Adams oversee the show’s action and authenticity work, with military veterans involved as writers, actors, technical advisers and directors. Former Navy SEAL Ray Mendoza, known for Warfare, is also among the veterans contributing to the production.
The approach is intended to preserve the series’ focus on the mindset, brotherhood and moral complexity associated with Special Operations rather than treating its military elements purely as action spectacle.
The Terminal List Season 2 Release Date and Production Details
The Terminal List Season 2 is produced by Amazon MGM Studios, MRC and Civic Center Media. Chris Pratt executive produces through Indivisible Productions alongside showrunner David DiGilio, Carr, Antoine Fuqua and Kat Samick through Fuqua Films, Adams and Shaw.
The franchise has reportedly surpassed 100 million viewers worldwide to date, giving the second season a substantial audience ahead of its return.
