Her love for Rohan reappeared almost four years after her breakup with him, and the couple reconnected when they met each other at a school reunion gathering. They rekindled their friendship and started to fall in love all over again. Since then, the two have been dating, and Aakriti frequently shares photos of her and Rohan on her social media handle. Rohan is an employee of the Indian Merchant Navy.
