Nexon has issued another wave of enforcement actions against abusive players in The First Descendant.

Nexon has released its latest enforcement report for The First Descendant, revealing that 332 players were penalized between July 10 and July 16, 2026 (PDT) as part of the studio’s ongoing effort to combat cheating and disruptive behavior. The latest crackdown includes 14 permanent bans, a seven-day trading restriction, and 317 temporary matchmaking penalties for players found violating the game’s operational policies.

The developer said it continues to actively monitor gameplay and investigate reports submitted through the in-game reporting system. The weekly transparency update reflects Nexon’s continued commitment to maintaining a fair multiplayer experience as the free-to-play looter shooter remains active across Steam, PlayStation, and Xbox.

Permanent bans target cheats and payment exploitation

According to Nexon, 11 accounts received permanent game bans for creating, distributing, or using unauthorized programs. The company also permanently banned three additional players for exploiting the Open Store payment process to obtain unfair gains.

Players who believe they were incorrectly penalized for payment-related violations can appeal through the game’s official Customer Service 1:1 Support. Nexon also advised users affected by chargeback-related actions to contact the platform store where their purchase was made.

The latest crackdown targeted cheating, unauthorized software, and suspicious gameplay activity.

317 players receive temporary matchmaking penalties

The largest enforcement category involved 317 players flagged for unusual gameplay activity. Rather than removing these accounts from the game entirely, Nexon issued a three-day separate matchmaking penalty, isolating affected players in accordance with its operational policy.

In addition, one player received a seven-day trading restriction after the detection of abnormal transaction records. While Nexon did not disclose the specific actions that triggered these penalties, the company said the measures were based on a combination of player reports and ongoing monitoring.

The developer encouraged players to continue reporting suspicious behavior through the in-game reporting feature, stating,

“We’re inspecting abusive gaming behavior to ensure that all Descendants can enjoy the game in a pleasant environment.”

Nexon added that it will continue taking action against violations to preserve a fair and enjoyable experience for the game’s community.
