Embark Says ARC Raiders Accounts Can Be Banned Even If Someone Else Cheats on Them

Embark Studios has issued an important warning to ARC Raiders players: your account could be banned if someone else gains access to it and cheats. The developer clarified that it does not matter whether the other person accessed the account with the owner’s permission or without it. If cheating is detected, enforcement action can still be taken against the account involved.

The warning was issued in the official Store Update 1.43.0, published on August 25, as the studio continues to expand its anti-cheat efforts. In its official warning, Embark wrote,

“If someone gets access to your account, either with your permission or not, and they’re caught cheating, your account can be banned even though you weren’t the one cheating.”

The studio is advising players to protect every linked account with a strong and unique password and to enable two-factor authentication wherever it is available. Players are also being told never to share their login details with anyone.

The studio explained that keeping accounts secure helps players protect their progress while also supporting the game’s wider effort to maintain fair play. The warning makes it clear that allowing another person to use an account can carry serious risks, particularly if that person uses cheats.

The new warning is part of Embark’s broader campaign against cheating in ARC Raiders. The developer has continued strengthening its detection systems and recently expanded its anti-cheat measures through partnerships and additional security technology.
