Nexon has kicked off a new wave of limited-time content for The First Descendant, introducing five in-game events that reward players with valuable upgrade materials, Ultimate Weapon selection boxes, free Ancestors Module readjustments, and world co-op bonuses. Running after the August 6 update, the events are available across Steam, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S, with most ending on August 19, 2026.

The latest event lineup focuses on helping players strengthen their Descendants and equipment while encouraging the community to work together toward global objectives. From daily missions and special progression rewards to discounted module upgrades, the August events provide multiple ways to earn high-value resources simply by playing the game.

Assemble Event II rewards teamwork with world and personal milestones

The centerpiece of the update is Assemble Event II, a global co-op event where every player’s progress contributes toward shared community goals.

Week 1 tasks players with completing the Axion Plains Infiltration Operation, while Week 2 shifts the focus to defeating enemies across the game. World Completion milestones unlock rewards at 25%, 50%, 75%, and 100%, granting Superheated Materials, while Personal Contribution rewards include up to 20 Ultimate Alignment Devices.

Players can also complete a daily objective to defeat 1,000 enemies, earning an Ancestors Module Loot III each day. Nexon also rotates Attribute Bonuses throughout the week, allowing players to earn additional contribution by using Descendants matching the featured element.

Even after reaching maximum personal progress, players can continue contributing toward global completion until the event concludes.

The Descendant Rapid Advancement Mission introduces both daily and one-time challenges designed to accelerate player progression.

Daily objectives reward players for activities such as completing Ultimate Weapon Research, using Weapon Cores, finishing HQ Special Orders, and clearing Operational Areas. Rewards include an Ultimate Weapon Selection Box IV, Weapon Augmentation Core Boxes, 500,000 Gold, research materials, and other upgrade resources.

Meanwhile, Special Missions focus on enhancing Reactors and External Components, using Component Cores, and unlocking Trigger Modules. Completing these objectives grants resources such as Nano Compounds, Quantum Crystals, Energy Control Cores, and a Trigger Module Selection Box G, allowing players to choose from dozens of powerful Trigger Modules.

Module events and free daily upgrades return

Several Ancestors Module events accompany the progression activities.

The Weekend Readjustment Discount cuts the Gold, Kuiper Shards, and Superconductive Cooling Unit costs for Ancestors Module Readjustment by 50% during two weekends, running from August 7–9 and August 14–16.

Players can also participate in Dismantle Ancestors Module Week, earning Ancestors Module Fragments whenever they dismantle modules. These fragments can be exchanged through BB-On in Albion for Ancestors Module Loot II or Descendant-specific Ancestors Modules before the event ends.

Finally, Today’s Readjustment Benefit allows players to perform one free Ancestors Module Readjustment every day, regardless of the module’s previous readjustment count. The benefit resets daily throughout the event period, making it one of the easiest ways to improve equipment without spending resources.

With five overlapping events running simultaneously, The First Descendant’s August update gives both new and veteran players plenty of opportunities to earn progression materials and prepare their builds for future content.
