Netflix’s hit brain-survival reality series The Devil’s Plan is returning with an ambitious new season, bringing together 16 contestants whose intelligence, analytical abilities, and experience in competitive survival programs promise an intense battle of strategy.

The newly revealed lineup includes celebrated competition veterans, previous winners, professional poker players, entertainers, and individuals with impressive academic backgrounds.

Announced on October 8, 2026, the cast has already raised expectations for Season 3, which aims to deliver some of the franchise’s most challenging mental contests yet.

With familiar faces returning alongside contestants bringing different strengths to the competition, the upcoming season is set to test not only individual intelligence but also the ability to adapt, form alliances, and make difficult decisions under pressure.

Returning Champions and Survival Veterans Lead the Competition

Produced by Jung Jong Yeon, the creator behind The Genius, The Great Escape, and Girls’ High School Mystery Class, The Devil’s Plan brings contestants from different backgrounds together for seven days.

During that period, they live together and compete in challenging games that require logical reasoning, strategic planning, observation, and psychological insight.

Their ultimate goal is to emerge as the competition’s strongest player.

One of the most notable additions to Season 3 is Jang Dong Min, widely recognised for his outstanding record in survival competitions.

Having won five consecutive survival programs, including The Genius: Black Garnet, The Genius: Grand Final, Society Game 2, Bloody Game 3, and Betting on Fact, he arrives with considerable experience.

His reputation for calculated decisions and competitive instincts makes him one of the contestants to watch.

Professional poker player Hong Jin Ho will also join the lineup. Previously known as a professional gamer, he has established himself as a formidable competitor in strategic contests.

Oh Hyun Min, a KAIST graduate known for his mathematical ability and nickname “human calculator,” will bring another analytical perspective to the games.

Several familiar faces from earlier seasons are also returning.

Ha Seok Jin, who won the first season of The Devil’s Plan, will once again compete, while Kim Dong Jae returns after making an impression with his bold gameplay in Season 1.

Jung Hyun Gyu, the winner of Season 2, is also back to defend his reputation and demonstrate his abilities against a new group of challengers.

Other experienced survival-show participants include rapper Xitsuh, who entered university at the age of 16, and Yurisa, known for her analytical skills and an IQ of 156.

Yurisa has also demonstrated her competitive ability in poker, winning an Asian Ladies poker tournament just six months after taking up the game.

Together, these contestants bring a combination of previous victories, strategic experience, and distinctive approaches to problem-solving, setting the stage for unpredictable rivalries and challenging encounters.

Super Junior’s Shindong, John Park, Stella Jang, and More Complete the Star-Studded Cast

The remaining contestants add further diversity to the lineup, bringing experience from entertainment, academics, music, and other competitive environments.

Super Junior’s Shindong will participate, drawing on the deductive abilities he has demonstrated on The Great Escape.

Broadcaster Jaejae, known for her involvement in Girls’ High School Mystery Class, will also join the competition, bringing her experience with mystery-solving formats.

John Park, a Northwestern University graduate, is another addition to the cast.

Singer-songwriter Stella Jang, recognised for her multilingual abilities, will compete alongside rapper Nucksal, whose interest in board games adds another dimension to his profile.

The lineup also features Hyun Kyung Ryul, who holds a doctorate from Seoul National University, and Lee Do, a Seoul National University graduate known for his work as an instructor.

Jung Won Young, described as a strong competitor in various board-game and survival contests, completes the group of 16 contestants.

Producer Jung Jong Yeon expressed confidence in the new lineup, stating,

“We’re returning with the strongest cast in the franchise’s history.”

He added,

“I hope viewers will look forward to seeing how the players making their survival-show debuts perform against a field packed with past winners.”

His comments highlight the season’s central attraction: watching newcomers measure their abilities against competitors who already have experience winning demanding survival programs.

With returning champions, seasoned strategists, and fresh competitors sharing the same environment, Season 3 is expected to feature a mixture of intense rivalries, unexpected alliances, and difficult decisions.

Each contestant will need to balance individual performance with the social dynamics that naturally emerge when competitors live and play together.

The Devil’s Plan Season 3 is scheduled to premiere globally on Netflix in the fourth quarter of 2026.

With its expanded lineup of 16 contestants and an impressive collection of returning champions and new challengers, the upcoming season promises another demanding test of intelligence, adaptability, and strategy.
