Prime Video and 5&2 Studios have revealed the official trailer for The Chosen Season 6, setting the stage for the historical drama’s most consequential chapter yet. The new season premieres on November 15, 2026, in the United States and internationally, focusing on the final hours of Jesus of Nazareth before his Crucifixion.
Season 6 will feature six episodes, with the first three releasing on premiere day. New episodes will follow weekly through December 6, bringing the season to a conclusion before the story continues in a standalone theatrical film scheduled for March 12, 2027.
The upcoming season explores the events of Jesus’ final day through the perspectives of his followers, the religious authorities who condemn him, and the Roman officials overseeing the region. As tensions escalate, the series examines how different people interpret the same events as justice, political order, betrayal, or murder.
The first five seasons of The Chosen are already available on Prime Video, allowing viewers to catch up before the new episodes arrive.
THE CHOSEN SEASON 6 FOCUSES ON JESUS’ FINAL DAY
The new season follows Jesus as he faces loneliness, condemnation, and death while remaining committed to his path toward the cross. The story unfolds through the experiences of those who love him and those who seek his execution, against the backdrop of Roman rule in first-century Israel.
The central conflict reflects the different ways people understand Jesus’ fate. Religious authorities view the proceedings as justice, Roman officials pursue order, and his followers see his impending death as murder. Season 6 explores how these events reshape the lives of those around Jesus and change the course of history.
Jonathan Roumie returns as Jesus, joined by Shahar Isaac as Peter, Paras Patel as Matthew, Elizabeth Tabish as Mary Magdalene, Noah James as Andrew, and George H. Xanthis as John. The returning cast also includes Abe Bueno-Jallad as Big James, Vanessa Benavente as Mother Mary, and Luke Dimyan as Judas.
Richard Fancy returns as Caiaphas, Paul Ben-Victor plays King Herod, and Andrew James Allen portrays Pontius Pilate. Their characters will be central to the events leading up to the Crucifixion.

The Chosen Season 6 premieres on Prime Video on November 15 in the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Sub-Saharan Africa, the United Kingdom, and Latin America. Three episodes will debut on November 15, with weekly releases continuing through December 6.
The season will be followed by a standalone theatrical film arriving on March 12, 2027. Amazon MGM Studios’ agreement with 5&2 Studios includes streaming rights to the first five seasons and the upcoming final two seasons, which cover the Crucifixion and Resurrection.
