Enola Holmes 3 has made a strong debut on Netflix, recording 20.3 million views during its first five days on the streaming platform.

Released over the Fourth of July holiday weekend in the United States, the third installment of the popular mystery franchise starring Millie Bobby Brown topped Netflix’s global English Films chart, according to the streamer’s latest weekly viewing data.

Enola Holmes 3 opens below its predecessor

While the film secured the No. 1 movie spot, its opening fell short of Enola Holmes 2, which accumulated the equivalent of 29.8 million views during its first five days following its November 2022 release. Based on Netflix’s reported figures, the latest sequel opened roughly 32% lower than its predecessor.

The movie also debuted below the recent Netflix original Voicemails for Isabelle, which attracted 31 million views in its opening weekend, but performed similarly to Office Romance, which premiered with 20.9 million views.

Netflix’s weekly Top 10 rankings are calculated using total viewing time divided by a title’s runtime, allowing films and series of different lengths to be compared more accurately.

On the television side, I Will Find You, Netflix’s first U.S. adaptation of a Harlan Coben novel starring Sam Worthington, remained the platform’s No. 1 English-language series for a third consecutive week. The thriller added 16 million views, bringing its total to 74.1 million views in just 18 days.

The series is now within reach of Netflix’s Top 10 Most Popular English Series list. To secure a place, it must surpass His & Hers, which currently holds 98.2 million views during Netflix’s standard 91-day measurement window.

The latest Netflix rankings also saw Sullivan’s Crossing return to the global Top 10 following the release of Season 4, earning 3 million views during its debut week despite the season only launching on Netflix in the United States.
