The Atypical Family Episode 6 Review: Da Hae’s Confession

Thread

Bok Gwi Joo and his family were born with special supernatural powers. Bok Gwi Joo can travel back in time, but only to the happy moments in his life. He can’t change anything in the past, so he can only relive those joyful times. Eventually, this limitation makes him feel very sad and depressed, causing him to lose his ability to travel back in time.

The rest of his family also faces problems and starts to lose their powers. They struggle with modern issues like insomnia, bulimia, and smartphone addiction. These everyday problems take a toll on them, and without their supernatural abilities, they feel even more overwhelmed and helpless.

One day, a woman named Do Da Hae comes into their lives and begins living with them. Her presence starts to bring positive changes to the family. She helps them deal with their issues, and together they begin to find joy and strength again. Through Do Da Hae’s support, they learn that ordinary human connections can be just as powerful as any supernatural power.

The Atypical Family Episode 6 Recap

In episode 6 of The Atypical Family, Gwi-Joo finds himself increasingly connected to Da Hae. He feels a strong desire to protect her and is clearly attracted to her. However, after recent events involving Gwi-Joo and Yi-Na, Da Hae decides to abandon her plan to scam the Bok family.

Da Hae’s fake mother complicates things further by revealing to Gwi-Joo’s family that she is an ex-convict. This revelation causes the family to oppose Gwi-Joo’s relationship with Da Hae. Despite this, Gwi-Joo is determined to win Da Hae’s heart, not just because of his feelings for her, but also because of his concern for Yi-Na, who has formed a bond with Da Hae despite previous threats.

Gwi-Joo’s mother is also against the union with Da Hae due to her mother’s criminal past. She enlists the help of her daughter, Dong-Hee, who has the power to see the future through her dreams. Despite her reservations, Gwi-Joo’s mother eventually accepts her son’s wish to marry Da Hae but warns him that his heart might be broken.

On their wedding day, Dong-Hee discovers a family heirloom in Da Hae’s possession, raising suspicions. As Da Hae walks down the aisle, she confesses to the scam, revealing her true intentions and leaving Gwi-Joo heartbroken.
