Japanese rock band SPYAIR celebrates 16 years of anime theme songs with its 17-track compilation album BEST OF ANIME.

Japanese rock band SPYAIR has released BEST OF ANIME, a 17-track compilation celebrating the group’s 16-year history of creating music for anime. Released on October 21, 2026, the album spans songs originally released between 2010 and 2026, bringing together some of the band’s most recognizable anime themes in one collection.

The release features music associated with popular franchises such as Haikyu!!, Gintama, BLEACH, and Mobile Suit Gundam. It also includes newer material, highlighting SPYAIR’s continued involvement in anime music following vocalist YOSUKE’s arrival in 2023. Selected songs have been newly recorded, giving the compilation a connection to both the band’s earlier releases and its current lineup.

Among the featured tracks are “Orange,” the theme song for HAIKYU!! The Dumpster Battle, and “Samurai Heart (Some Like It Hot!!),” the ending theme for Gintama Season 2. The two songs represent different milestones in SPYAIR’s history, with “Orange” surpassing 200 million streams and “Samurai Heart” passing 100 million streams.

The album also arrives as SPYAIR expands its international touring activities, with a six-date European tour scheduled to begin in Vienna on October 30, 2026.

Formed in 2005, SPYAIR is a four-member Japanese rock band that made its major-label debut in 2010. Its high-energy sound and anime collaborations have helped it build an international following, with its first world tour in 2018 covering 23 cities across three continents in three months.

Vocalist YOSUKE joined the band in April 2023, beginning a new chapter in its history. Since then, SPYAIR has continued releasing music for anime, including “Orange” and “Kill the Noise.” The band also released “Take Flight,” the theme song for the 2026–27 SV.LEAGUE season, which began in October 2026.

With BEST OF ANIME, SPYAIR brings its past and present together in a single collection. The album celebrates the band’s long-running connection to anime while arriving at a time when its international concert schedule and newer releases continue to expand its reach.
