Shueisha has announced the launch of MANGA MILLION, a new global digital manga platform that provides readers with free access to approximately 400 manga series across more than 100 languages. Released as part of the publisher’s 100th anniversary celebrations, the limited-time service brings together one million pages of manga from some of Japan’s most iconic franchises while removing one of the biggest barriers for international readers—language.
Available worldwide without requiring account registration, MANGA MILLION includes celebrated series such as One Piece, Naruto, Bleach, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba, Jujutsu Kaisen, SPY×FAMILY, Chainsaw Man, Kingdom, Oshi no Ko, Nana, and Kimi ni Todoke: From Me to You. The initiative also marks the first multilingual release for nearly 300 manga titles, with 50 series receiving translations into multiple languages for the first time. More than 150 shojo manga are included, highlighting one of Japan’s most influential manga categories for readers around the globe.

According to Hideaki Hayashi, President and Representative Director of Shueisha, the project reflects the company’s long-standing mission to connect creators with readers around the world.
“One of a publisher’s most important responsibilities is to connect creative talent with the public,”
Hayashi said.
“As we mark Shueisha’s 100th anniversary, we hope it will create new connections with readers worldwide, provide opportunities to experience the richness and diversity of manga culture, and inspire future generations of manga creators.”
The platform was developed through collaboration across Shueisha’s editorial divisions, bringing together shonen, shojo, seinen, and other manga demographics into a single service. The publisher also worked with international licensing partners to translate the collection into over 100 languages, including English, Spanish, French, Arabic, Hindi, Chinese, Korean, Turkish, Tagalog, Polish, and many others.
Shuhei Hosono, Editor-in-Chief of MANGA Plus by SHUEISHA and the initiator of the project, revealed that the idea began with an ambitious question.
“The project began with a simple question: what if we marked Shueisha’s 100th anniversary by translating one million pages of manga into 100 languages?”
Hosono explained.
He added that the team also wanted to reduce language barriers that continue to limit access to Japanese manga in many regions. According to Hosono, the goal is for MANGA MILLION to encourage readers around the world to discover new series while strengthening the global connection between manga creators and fans.
The service officially launched on August 6, 2026, and is available worldwide for a limited time on Windows, macOS, Android, and iOS devices. Readers can browse the collection entirely free of charge by visiting the official MANGA MILLION website.
