In a major update for the global K-pop community, PLEDIS Entertainment has officially released a statement regarding the upcoming military service schedules for SEVENTEEN members DK and Vernon.
The official announcement was shared via Weverse on July 27, 2026, confirming that both vocalists will begin fulfilling their mandatory national duties late this summer.
The news marks a pivotal continuation of the group’s staggered military enlistment phase, as members step forward one by one to fulfill their civic obligations.
The agency opened the notice with a direct and clear update for the group’s devoted fanbase, stating,
“Hello. This is PLEDIS Entertainment. We would like to inform you of SEVENTEEN members DK and VERNON’s upcoming military service.”
The statement outlines specific start dates for both idols, ensuring fans are fully informed of the upcoming schedule adjustments while reassuring supporters that both members will participate in planned schedules prior to their departures.
Enlistment Dates and Official Directives
According to the official release from PLEDIS Entertainment, Vernon and DK will enter their respective service branches just weeks apart.
The agency detailed DK’s specific enlistment plans by stating,
“DK is scheduled to enlist for active duty in the Army on September 8.
He will participate in all official activities prior to his enlistment.”
Regarding Vernon, the company confirmed,
“VERNON will begin his military service on August 20. He will also participate in all official activities prior to the start of his service.”
To ensure public safety and smooth proceedings at the induction sites, PLEDIS Entertainment issued a strong request asking fans to refrain from visiting in person on the days of their enlistment.

“As numerous enlistees and their families will be present at the enlistment ceremony, we respectfully request that you refrain from visiting the site in person on the day of his enlistment.”
