Japanese entertainment is getting a larger free streaming presence in the United States as Tokyo-based entertainment company REMOW expands its FAST channel lineup to Sling Freestream. The company has launched It’s Anime and SAMURAI VS NINJA, giving US viewers access to dedicated 24/7 channels covering Japanese animation and live-action period dramas.
The channels became available on Sling Freestream on September 23, ahead of REMOW’s September 25 announcement. The expansion gives viewers another way to watch Japanese content without requiring a traditional paid streaming subscription, while also extending REMOW’s strategy of bringing Japanese entertainment to international audiences.
It’s Anime focuses on anime ranging from established franchises to newer productions, while SAMURAI VS NINJA targets fans of Japanese jidaigeki, samurai stories, and martial arts action.
It’s Anime Adds Popular Anime to Sling Freestream
The It’s Anime channel operates as a 24/7 FAST destination designed to make Japanese animation more accessible to US viewers. Its programming includes English-dubbed content, simulcasts, popular shonen series, and older catalog titles.
Among the featured shows are My Hero Academia Seasons 1 and 2, Dorohedoro Season 1, TOUGEN ANKI Season 1, and KILL BLUE Season 1.
TOUGEN ANKI follows Shiki Ichinose after he discovers his Oni heritage and becomes involved in a conflict between Oni and the descendants of Momotaro. The series’ second season, Nikko: Kegon Falls Arc, is scheduled to begin in October 2026.
KILL BLUE, meanwhile, follows elite hitman Juzo Ogami after a mysterious incident transforms him into a 13-year-old. He is subsequently ordered to infiltrate a middle school, creating an unusual combination of action and school comedy.
Sling’s platform is already carrying anime programming through Freestream, with current listings showing titles such as Insomniacs After School and other anime content available without a traditional subscription.
SAMURAI VS NINJA Brings Japanese Period Dramas to US Viewers
The second new channel, SAMURAI VS NINJA, focuses on Japanese live-action period entertainment. REMOW says the channel draws from more than 1,000 hours of samurai action, historical cinema, and stories centered on Japanese martial traditions.
Featured programming includes NINJA WARS: BLACKFOX VS SHOGUN’S NINJA, which follows Fox Clan leader Rikka Isurugi as she investigates a mysterious cult and becomes caught between competing ninja factions.
The lineup also includes the classic Zatoichi: The Blind Swordsman series starring Shintaro Katsu and Samurai Detective Onihei, which follows legendary Edo-period detective Heizo Hasegawa as he becomes entangled in conspiracies connected to his past.
The channel builds on the SAMURAI VS NINJA brand’s existing international audience. According to REMOW, its YouTube channel had more than 356,000 subscribers and 150 million total views worldwide as of August 2026.

Both It’s Anime and SAMURAI VS NINJA are available on Sling Freestream in the US. It’s Anime is also available through Pluto TV, Amazon Prime Video, Live TV on PS5, Samsung TV Plus, and VIZIO WatchFree+.
SAMURAI VS NINJA is additionally available through Samsung TV Plus in the Philippines, Thailand, and Singapore.
REMOW’s broader strategy is focused on making Japanese entertainment available across international platforms. The company says it has already brought Japanese films, anime, and television content to audiences in more than 200 countries.
