The series centers on Annie Jacobson, played by Ella Rubin, a 17-year-old raised in New York City alongside her twin brother and adoptive father. Her life takes an unexpected turn after inheriting her mysterious grandfather’s island in Canada.

As Annie settles into her new surroundings, she begins building friendships, exploring first romances, and uncovering long-buried family secrets that reshape everything she thought she knew about her past. Joining Rubin are Keen Ruffalo as Annie’s twin brother and Jay Duplass as her adoptive father. The ensemble cast also includes Amélie Hoeferle, Jacob Whiteduck-Lavoie, Daniel Quinn-Toye, Bo Bragason, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Nikko Angelo Hinayo, Mabel Strachan, Elle-Maija Tailfeathers, and Missi Pyle.

Sterling Point is created by Megan Park, who also serves as director, co-showrunner, and executive producer. She is joined by Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage under the Fake Empire banner, alongside Dani Gorin and Tom Ackerley representing LuckyChap.

The series is produced by Amazon MGM Studios, Fake Empire, and LuckyChap, bringing together a creative team known for acclaimed coming-of-age stories and character-driven dramas.

One of the trailer’s standout elements is its soundtrack, featuring “Look at My Life,” an unreleased track by Gracie Abrams from her forthcoming album Daughter from Hell. The song accompanies Annie’s emotional journey throughout the trailer, reinforcing the series’ focus on identity, relationships, and growing up amid unexpected change.

With its combination of mystery, romance, family drama, and scenic Canadian settings, Sterling Point appears positioned as one of Prime Video’s major young adult originals this summer. Viewers won’t have to wait long, as all eight episodes will be available to stream simultaneously when the series premieres on August 5.
