The New England Patriots, a prominent NFL team known for its dynastic history, continue to make waves in the offseason. In a recent move, they’ve decided to part ways with quarterback Nathan Rourke.
This decision comes shortly after drafting Drake Maye, quarterback for the North Carolina Tar Heels, in the 2024 NFL Draft.

According to ESPN’s Mike Reiss, the Patriots communicated to Rourke that he was being waived, signaling the end of his stint with the team. With Rourke’s departure, the New England quarterback room now consists of Jacoby Brissett, Drake Maye, Bailey Zappe, and Joe Milton.
Rourke’s journey doesn’t end with his release from the Patriots. Following his remarkable 2022 CFL season, where he showcased exceptional talent, Rourke signed with the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Notably, his highlight-reel play during a preseason game against the Dallas Cowboys in 2023 captured the attention of NFL fans worldwide.
