Singer Nam Yujeong (formerly of Brave Girls and BB Girls) is officially launching her solo music career with her first solo album set to release in August 2026.
On August 6, 2026, her agency RND Company confirmed that Yujeong will release her debut solo project later this month and begin active promotions.
Album Concept and Personal Directing
The upcoming release is a special remake album featuring reinterpreted cover versions of popular love songs that Yujeong has personally cherished over the years:
- Concept: A collection of re-recorded love songs tailored with Yujeong’s distinct vocal tone and emotional color.
- Artist Statement: Sharing her thoughts through her agency, Yujeong stated,
“I filled this album with reinterpretations of songs I’ve always loved.
When I decided to prepare these songs for festival stages, my biggest wish was simply that many people would enjoy them.”
“Nam Yujeong Wants to Be in Love” Mockumentary Series
Prior to the official announcement, Yujeong personally shared news of her album in the first episode of her new mockumentary series, Nam Yujeong Wants to Be in Love, which premiered on her official YouTube channel on August 5.

The five-part video series follows a lighthearted, fake-documentary format built around the theme of love songs.
It documents the journey of “human Nam Yujeong” as she searches for true love while preparing her solo music.
Live Performance Debut at Waterbomb Sokcho 2026
Following the release of her solo album, Yujeong will take the stage as a solo performer at the Waterbomb Sokcho 2026 music festival on August 22, 2026, where she will perform her new tracks live for festival attendees.
Yujeong originally debuted in 2016 with Brave Girls, gaining massive popularity following the viral resurgence of their hit track “Rollin'” in 2021, as well as follow-up singles like “We Ride” and “Chi Mat Ba Ram”.
After briefly promoting under BB Girls from August 2023 to April 2024, she departed the group to pursue solo activities and acting, signing with RND Company.
