My Happy Marriage is returning with new animated content this month, as KADOKAWA has confirmed that the anime’s upcoming special episodes will premiere worldwide on Netflix on October 25, 2026, Japan Time. The announcement comes alongside the release of a new main trailer, giving fans their latest look at Miyo Saimori and Kiyoka Kudo as their relationship moves toward marriage.
The trailer also introduces the opening theme song, “Shiawasede Namidagaderunowa.” by riria., marking the first official preview of the song. The new footage focuses on the couple’s quieter moments together while also teasing the events surrounding their upcoming wedding.
The special episodes follow the first two seasons of the My Happy Marriage anime, which have been available worldwide through Netflix. With the new episodes arriving globally on the same platform, international viewers will be able to continue Miyo and Kiyoka’s story without waiting for a separate overseas release.
My Happy Marriage Special Episodes Premiere October 25
According to KADOKAWA’s October 2 announcement, the My Happy Marriage special episodes will launch worldwide on Sunday, October 25, 2026, Japan Time, exclusively on Netflix.
The newly released main trailer provides additional footage of Miyo and Kiyoka’s life as they prepare for their wedding. Their relationship remains at the center of the new material, continuing the anime’s combination of romance, supernatural elements and historical drama.

The announcement also confirms that “Shiawasede Namidagaderunowa.” by riria. will serve as the opening theme. Meanwhile, Kashitaro Ito performs the ending theme, “Just before the Prelude 〜for me&you〜.”
Fans can also set reminders through the official Netflix title page ahead of the October premiere.
Miyo and Kiyoka’s Story Continues
Set during Japan’s Taisho era, My Happy Marriage follows Miyo Saimori, a young woman mistreated by her family because she was born without supernatural abilities. Her circumstances change after she meets Kiyoka Kudo, a powerful military commander initially regarded as cold and intimidating.
Their arranged marriage gradually develops into a relationship built on mutual trust, allowing Miyo to discover more about herself and her hidden abilities.
The anime adaptation premiered on July 5, 2023, while Season 2 began streaming on Netflix on January 6, 2025. The series is based on Akumi Agitogi’s light novel series, illustrated by Tsukiho Tsukioka and published by KADOKAWA.
The upcoming special episodes are directed by Takehiro Kubota, who also handles series composition. Kinema citrus remains the animation studio, while Evan Call returns for the music. Reina Ueda and Kaito Ishikawa also reprise their respective roles as Miyo and Kiyoka.
With the wedding preparations now taking center stage, the October 25 release is set to give fans another chapter in Miyo and Kiyoka’s evolving relationship.
