The one-hour version of the opening song’s intro, “Shikanokonokonokokoshitantan,” from My Deer Friend Nokotan has hit 1 million views on TWIN ENGINE’s official channel.

The opening theme, “Shikairo Days,” is performed by the anime’s Deer Club, featuring the main cast. Premiering on July 7, 2024, the celebration included sharing an illustration reminiscent of THE FIRST TAKE channel’s iconic thumbnails.

The plot follows Torako, who hides her delinquent past behind a perfect student facade. Her life turns upside down with the arrival of Nokotan, a new student with antlers and an uncanny knack for sniffing out Torako’s secrets.

Nokotan’s antics, whether at school or the zoo, stir up constant chaos, leaving Torako wondering about her true nature—is Nokotan a deer, a girl, or something in between?
