After a three-year hiatus, Mr. Osomatsu Season 4 is officially underway, heralding the return of the beloved Matsuno sextuplets. The animation will be produced by PIERROT FILMS, and an announcement video is now available to watch.

Fans will be delighted to hear that the original voice actors are back, including Takahiro Sakurai as Osomatsu, Yuichi Nakamura as Karamatsu, Hiroshi Kamiya as Choromatsu, Jun Fukuyama as Ichimatsu, Daisuke Ono as Juushimatsu, and Miyu Irino as Todomatsu.

Based on Fujio Akatsuka’s 1962 manga Osomatsu-kun, Mr. Osomatsu (Osomatsu-san) reimagines the Matsuno brothers as adults. The first season aired from October 2015 to March 2016, followed by the second from October 2017 to March 2018, and the third from October 2020 to March 2021.

All three seasons were produced by studio Pierrot, each consisting of 25 episodes. Viz Media licensed the first two seasons in English, describing the series as a chaotic and humorous take on the lives of six very different brothers.

They spend their time engaging in wild antics, from Pachinko gambling and sequined pants to idol obsession and existential loafing. Their antics include running up a tab at the local Oden stand and getting into bizarre adventures.

The series inspired a manga adaptation by Masako Shitaro, serialized in Shueisha’s You magazine from January 2016 to October 2018, and later in Cookie magazine from November 2018 to November 2020.

Additionally, there are three theatrical anime films and a spin-off anime titled Matsu Inu. Fans eagerly anticipate the return of the Matsuno brothers and their unpredictable escapades in the upcoming season.
