tripleS has announced plans for a new sub-unit aimed at the Japanese market amidst their recent flurry of activities. This includes their OT24 debut with ‘Girls Never Die’ in May, tripleS Glow’s debut in June, and the successful ‘Girls Never Stop fan concert held on July 6 and 7. Additionally, Vision@ry Vision is set to debut next month.
In the tripleS concept, sub-units are known as ‘Dimensions’.
The new sub-unit will consist of 8 members and is slated to be promoted actively until 2025, marking the first time a tripleS sub-unit will have an extended promotional period. Typically, sub-units are promoted for 2-3 months before regrouping. Following this period, a new Japan sub-unit will be voted on in mid-2025.
Fans will have the opportunity to vote for members of the sub-unit through a structured process:
Pre-selected members: 2 members will be announced on July 18, 2024, chosen internally.
OTT Voting: Starting July 20, 2024, fans can vote for the next 2 members on a Japanese OTT webpage until August 20, 2024.
Cosmo Voting – Day 1: Voting for 2 more members via the Cosmo app will take place from August 26 to 27, 2024.
Cosmo Voting – Day 2: The final 2 members will be chosen through the Cosmo app from August 27 to 28, 2024.
Fans can use como (in-app currency) on the Cosmo app to vote, which can be obtained by purchasing objects (digital photo cards) in the app.
