The manga The Idaten Deities Know Only Peace by Amahara and Coolkyoushinja is coming to an end in just two more chapters, as revealed in the 12th issue of Hakusensha’s Young Animal magazine.
The final chapters will conclude by July 12, and the ninth and last compiled volume will be released in fall or winter.
The manga, which began its final arc in January, has been running since August 2018 as a remake of Amahara’s earlier online version.
The story, published in English by Seven Seas Entertainment, follows the Idaten deities who have lived in peace for 800 years after sealing away demons.
The young deity Hayato, along with his quirky companions, step up when the demons return, challenging their lack of experience in war.
This blend of action and myth has amazed readers, leading to its adaptation into an anime series that aired in July 2021 on Fuji TV, with Crunchyroll streaming it globally.
The manga initially started on the Neetsha website but was halted in 2016. It later found new life in Young Animal, catching up to the original online version by early 2023.
The series’ run has been marked by significant popularity, with Hakusensha publishing its eighth volume in December 2022, and its ending is eagerly anticipated by fans.
