Catherine ‘Cat’ Richards and Jake Singleton-Hill from Love Is Blind UK have found love with each other after the show. Even though they connected with other people during the show, their romance blossomed after filming ended.
Richards was previously engaged to Freddie Powell on the show, but their relationship ended when Powell chose not to marry her in the Love Is Blind UK Season 1 finale.
On a recent appearance on the Bailiwick Podcasts with Christie Bailey, Richards talked about how she and Singleton-Hill began talking. She mentioned that Singleton-Hill had a tough experience on the show, so she decided to “check in” on him after seeing his profile on social media.
Their connection grew from there! Initially, Richards was hesitant because of Singleton-Hill’s strong bond with his dog, but now they live together with the same dog.
Singleton-Hill initially thought Richards was engaged to Powell since the show had not yet aired. However, when he learned she was still single, their conversations became flirtatious. Richards shared, “We were on FaceTime for about five hours that evening and then we spoke every day for five weeks.”
Many Engagements on ‘Love Is Blind UK’ Went Without Showing
Shirley Bekker, another contestant from Love Is Blind UK, revealed that more happens on the show than viewers see. Bekker posted on TikTok to explain that while six engagements were shown, there were actually 11 engagements. She noted, “There were only four of us who didn’t get engaged and I was one of them.”
Bekker explained that producers choose the most dramatic storylines to air, leaving out many details, including love triangles and additional drama. As a result, a lot of content is cut.
Singleton-Hill’s engagement was one of the five not shown on television. On the same podcast, Richards expressed her sympathy for Singleton-Hill after learning that his engagement didn’t make it to air. Richards was surprised to discover not all couples made it to the retreat, and their engagement did not work out. This led to Richards and Singleton-Hill finding each other.
