Long Beach Comic Con 2026 has officially opened its doors, bringing two days of comics, television, movies, gaming, cosplay and pop culture to the Long Beach Convention Center. The convention runs September 5 and 6, with this year’s event marking the first Long Beach Comic Con operated by Nerd Street Events.
The 2026 edition features a broad schedule aimed at different corners of fandom, including conversations centered on Five Nights at Freddy’s, Pokémon, Phineas and Ferb, Power Rangers and Futurama. The event also features artists, comic creators, exhibitors, screenings, cosplay programming and fan-focused activities across the weekend.
Long Beach Comic Con 2026 Features Major Fandom Events
One of the weekend’s biggest attractions is the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Shellabration, which brings together programming celebrating the original live-action TMNT movies from the 1990s. The convention’s Sunday schedule includes a Shellabration Q&A, while Power Rangers fans can attend a conversation featuring Walter Jones and Karan Ashley.
The guest lineup also includes voice actors and performers such as Billy West, Vincent Martella, Christopher Collet and Walter Jones, alongside comic creators and artists. Saturday’s Main Stage schedule includes a Five Nights at Freddy’s conversation with Andy Field and a Pokémon Q&A featuring Eric Stuart, Dan Green and Christopher Collet.
Cosplay remains another major part of the convention, with official costume contests scheduled for both Saturday and Sunday. Attendees can also explore GeekFest film programming, comic-writing panels, publishing discussions, fan films, animation shorts and workshops covering different aspects of fandom and creative work.
Nerd Street Events Begins Its First Year Running LBCC
The 2026 convention represents the first year that Nerd Street Events is operating Long Beach Comic Con. The company, which also produces events including Twin Cities Con, Des Moines Con and Central Florida Comic Con, has positioned the new edition around comics, creators, artists and community-focused programming.
Long Beach Comic Con is being held at 300 E. Ocean Blvd. in Long Beach, California, with the exhibit hall open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday. Programming continues later on Saturday, running until 10 p.m., giving attendees a full day of panels and entertainment beyond the main exhibition floor.
