Kappei Yamaguchi shared on his X account that he hurt his shoulder and had to go to the hospital. He explained that he hurt it while lifting weights too much. Because the tear is in a spot that doesn’t heal by itself, he needs surgery to fix it.

Yamaguchi expressed gratitude to everyone who sent him messages of well wishes. He appreciated the support and kindness from his fans and followers during this challenging time.

On Sunday, Yamaguchi shared a photo of himself in the hospital with an arm cast, giving an update on his condition and showing his recovery progress post-surgery.

On Monday, Kappei Yamaguchi mentioned that he would begin rehabilitation in the afternoon.

Yamaguchi is famous for his roles as Kaito Kid and Shinichi Kudo in the Detective Conan series and films, including the latest Case Closed: The Million-dollar Pentagram.

He is also well known for voicing Usopp in One Piece, Ranma Saotome in Ranma ½, and Tarō Raimon in Eyeshield 21.
