PONY CANYON INC. has officially announced that the upcoming anime KAIJU GIRL CARAMELISE will take center stage at three major conventions across the United States and Germany this summer. The global push comes just weeks ahead of the anime’s July 2026 premiere, positioning the series as one of the season’s most anticipated new releases.
Based on the manga by Spica Aoki, the series blends high school romance with kaiju chaos, offering a unique twist on the traditional shojo formula. With exclusive screenings, guest appearances, and interactive booths planned, the convention tour is designed to introduce the series to international audiences in a big way.
Anime Expo 2026: North American Premiere Takes the Spotlight

The rollout begins at Anime Expo in Los Angeles, one of the largest anime conventions in North America. The event will host a dedicated panel titled KAIJU GIRL CARAMELISE: The Kaiju-Sized?! North American Premiere, scheduled for July 3.
Fans attending the panel will be treated to a special screening of Episode 1, followed by the North American premiere of Episode 2. The event is expected to feature exclusive giveaways and a themed presentation designed to reflect the anime’s over-the-top tone.
In addition to the panel, attendees can visit the PONY CANYON booth, where interactive experiences will be available. These include costume-style “try-on” features inspired by the protagonist’s kaiju transformation, along with exclusive merchandise and display installations.
Otakon 2026: Creators Share Behind-the-Scenes Insights

The next stop is Otakon in Washington, D.C., where the focus shifts toward the creative process behind the anime. The event will include screenings of Episode 5 and the North American premiere of Episode 6, giving fans an early look at later story developments.
What sets Otakon apart is the presence of key staff members, including director Teruyuki Omine and animation producer Yuya Ogisu from LIDENFILMS. Both will participate in panels discussing the production process and the challenges of adapting such a unique concept for television.
The convention will also host autograph sessions, offering fans a rare opportunity to interact directly with the creators behind the series. This focus on behind-the-scenes storytelling adds depth to the promotional tour, appealing to both casual viewers and dedicated anime fans.
AnimagiC 2026: European Premiere and Manga Creator Appearance

The final stop takes the series to AnimagiC in Mannheim, Germany, where European audiences will get their first major look at the anime. The event will feature a screening of Episode 5 alongside the European premiere of Episode 6.
A highlight of this stop is the appearance of original creator Spica Aoki, who will attend alongside key production and publishing representatives. Their presence reinforces the authenticity of the adaptation and provides fans with insight into the original vision behind the story.
Like the other events, AnimagiC will include a themed booth experience with interactive elements and exclusive items. A limited autograph session with Aoki is also planned, making it one of the most anticipated parts of the convention lineup.
