The Kagurabachi manga is taking a two-week break after creator Takeru Hokazono suddenly became ill and required hospitalization. Shueisha announced the news through the manga’s official social media account, confirming that Hokazono has since recovered and is working with the publisher toward the series’ return.
The manga was originally scheduled to appear in the September 14 double issue of Weekly Shonen Jump. However, Shueisha canceled the planned chapter to allow Hokazono additional recovery time. According to Siliconera (source), the next chapter will instead be published in the magazine’s 44th issue on September 28, 2026.
This is the second notable break for Kagurabachi in recent months. Hokazono previously took roughly one month away from the series between June 29 and July 27 to get sufficient rest and maintain its long-term publication schedule.
Despite the recent interruptions, Kagurabachi continues to build momentum ahead of its upcoming anime adaptation. The anime is scheduled to premiere in April
