Jin Young and Cho Yi Hyun are set to take viewers into a nostalgic summer filled with unexpected encounters, youthful dreams, and first love in the upcoming drama Summer Vacation.
The series has unveiled its first teaser, offering a glimpse at the magical connection between its two young leads.
Summer Vacation is a teen romance drama starring Cho Yi Hyun as Kim Ha Yeon, an ordinary 18-year-old high school student who has a mysterious experience during her summer vacation before eventually returning to reality.
Jin Young plays Jo Yu Gyeom, a boy of the same age whose life is shaped by the strict expectations of his traditional family.
The newly released teaser introduces Yu Gyeom standing at the edge of a cliff.
Although he appears calm and reserved, he feels confined by his family’s rules and secretly longs to escape the life that has been decided for him.
Ha Yeon, meanwhile, struggles with feelings of loneliness and alienation at school.
Frustrated by the indifference surrounding her, she makes a determined declaration:
“One way or another, I’m going to change my destiny.”
Their lives unexpectedly intersect when Ha Yeon accompanies her father on a business trip to Upo village.
What begins as an ordinary summer outing soon becomes an extraordinary experience that changes the direction of both teenagers’ lives.
Two Teenagers Searching for a Miracle
The teaser highlights the contrasting circumstances of Yu Gyeom and Ha Yeon while showing how their meeting gradually brings them closer.
Both teenagers have been searching for something that could change their seemingly meaningless lives.
Yu Gyeom wants to break away from the restrictions surrounding him, while Ha Yeon dreams of escaping the circumstances that have left her feeling disconnected from everyone around her.
Their chance meeting in Upo becomes the catalyst for that change.
As they spend time together, the two begin to develop feelings for each other, turning their mysterious summer into a memorable chapter of their youth.
The teaser’s narration reinforces the idea that their meeting is more than coincidence.
Their lives, once seemingly stuck in place, begin to shift after they encounter each other, suggesting that each may become the miracle the other has been waiting for.
Jin Young and Cho Yi Hyun Bring a Nostalgic Romance to Life
Summer Vacation promises a warm, youthful atmosphere centered around the emotions and uncertainty of being 18.
The drama combines romance with a mysterious element surrounding Ha Yeon’s summer experience, creating questions about what exactly happens during her time away from her ordinary life.
The series began filming in 2022 and completed production in 2023, but its release date remained uncertain for some time.
Earlier promotional posters teased its nostalgic summer setting, with one showing Yu Gyeom embracing Ha Yeon and another capturing the pair in an intimate moment.
The drama is scheduled to premiere on Wavve on October 26, 2026.
With Jin Young and Cho Yi Hyun leading the cast, Summer Vacation is expected to offer a story about young love, destiny, and the unforgettable experiences that can emerge during one extraordinary summer.
