Los Angeles, California Infinite Inc. revealed its highly anticipated anime adaptation of I Want to Love You Till Your Dying Day during Anime Expo 2026, giving attendees an exclusive first look at Episode 1 ahead of its global streaming debut on Crunchyroll. The premiere took place during the company’s “Stories Made to Last: Infinite Presents Their Next Big Titles” panel on July 2, where producer Ena Hamabe shared behind-the-scenes insights into the production and discussed what drew the team to the emotionally intense fantasy series.

The world premiere was met with enthusiastic applause from the Anime Expo audience, highlighting the growing anticipation surrounding the dark yuri romance. Episode 1 Premiere Receives Strong Response at Anime Expo 2026

Producer Ena Hamabe reflected on her first impression of the project, explaining that the unique blend of visual style and storytelling immediately caught her attention. She said, “When I first saw the art online, the cute animation and dark fantasy themes drew me in. I wanted to see those two elements come together.”

I Want to Love You Till Your Dying Day is set in a mysterious school where children are trained to become magical weapons for war. The story follows Sheena, a peace-loving girl who longs for an end to the conflict. Her life changes after meeting Mimi, an immortal child soldier rumored to be the school’s ultimate secret weapon. As the two become roommates, their complicated relationship develops through growing tension and unexpected attraction against the backdrop of a brutal fantasy world.

The anime begins streaming on Crunchyroll on July 7, 2026. During Anime Expo, Infinite Inc. also released new key visuals inspired by scenes from the premiere, offering another glimpse at the series’ haunting atmosphere.

Beyond the featured premiere, Infinite announced three additional anime adaptations currently in development: Now That We Draw, Within the Villainess, and The Final Boss Prince is Somehow Obsessed with the Chubby Villainess: Reincarnated Me. Each project received its own promotional video during the presentation.
