The mystery surrounding “Odeholo” has finally been solved. During a special livestream celebrating hololive’s 10th anniversary on September 23, 2026, COVER Corporation officially revealed that the mysterious abbreviation refers to “Odekake hololive,” with the official English title “hololive: Let’s Head Out!”
The announcement confirms that the long-teased project is a TV anime adaptation featuring 29 hololive members. A new teaser visual has also been released, giving fans their first major look at the ensemble cast appearing together in the upcoming series.
The anime will follow the hololive talents outside their usual streaming environment, focusing on their adventures as they travel across Japan.
Hololive Members Head Out Across Japan
According to the official introduction, the series begins with a simple question:
“Where shall we go today?”
The story imagines the hololive members enjoying their days off by visiting different locations across Japan. The omnibus-style series will explore their travels from season to season, with the characters eating local food, having fun and encountering new places along the way.
Rather than focusing on their usual online activities, hololive: Let’s Head Out! will center on the personalities of the members and their interactions during these outings.
Studio KAI is producing the TV anime, with Shunsuke Machitani serving as director and Ouri Yasukawa as assistant director. Kodai Minami is handling series composition, while Masatoshi Tsuji is responsible for character design.
The announced cast includes Tokino Sora, Shirakami Fubuki, Hoshimachi Suisei, Usada Pekora, Houshou Marine, Sakura Miko, Inugami Korone, Nekomata Okayu and 21 other hololive members.
The project is based on an original story from COVER Corporation and forms part of the company’s celebration of hololive’s 10th anniversary.
