GOT7 member and solo artist Youngjae has officially received all outstanding financial payments for his performance role in the musical stage production of “Dream High 2.”
According to an official public update provided by the show’s production entity, Art One Company, the long-standing settlement was formally finalized on August 3.
The announcement marks the conclusion of an extended dispute regarding unpaid performance fees that had previously led the vocalist to take formal legal action earlier in the year.
The resolution brings a sense of relief to fans who have followed the situation closely through the artist’s personal updates.
In an official public release regarding the matter, Art One Company explained that it completed thorough mutual verification and comprehensive negotiations directly with Youngjae regarding the uncollected appearance fees, confirming that the entire balance has now been fully settled.
Also, the production company emphasized that it conducted a thorough review of payment records across the entire project, ensuring that compensation for all actors, dancers, and production staff involved in the stage run was audited, with all remaining outstanding dues either fully disbursed or in the final stages of processing.
Legal Action and Public Statements Surrounding the Unpaid Fees
The dispute over compensation originally came to light after the production concluded its run without providing full financial settlements to the performing cast.
Youngjae took formal legal steps in January after he failed to receive his complete agreed-upon fee despite fulfilling his performance obligations.
As the months progressed without a clear resolution from the production team, the artist publicly highlighted the ongoing issue on social media to express his frustration and keep supporters informed, noting in a social media update published in July that nearly a full year had passed without proper settlement.

Acknowledging the friction and operational oversights that led to the prolonged legal conflict, Art One Company issued a direct statement addressing the industry and supporters. In its public statement, Art One Company apologized for the concern caused by the delays and stated it would strengthen its payment and production systems to prevent similar issues in future theatrical projects. The public statement reflects a commitment to structural improvements within the organization to safeguard performing talent and crew members moving forward.

Known for his powerful vocal range and soulful timbre, Youngjae has continually expanded his artistic footprint beyond traditional K-pop group promotions.
In recent years, Youngjae has established a strong presence across multiple entertainment sectors, branching out into television hosting, solo music releases, and stage acting.
His participation in the stage adaptation of “Dream High 2” represented a major highlight in his growing musical theater portfolio, showcasing his ability to lead complex theatrical productions.
With the financial and legal dispute now fully resolved, the singer can turn his complete focus back to his ongoing musical projects, solo activities, and future theatrical endeavors.
