Glass Eye Pix will celebrate four decades of independent filmmaking with its first-ever Glass Eye Pix Palooza-Con, also known as GEP-CON, in Manhattan on November 7, 2026. Hosted by Ideal Glass Studio, the one-day event will combine a pop-up store, film memorabilia exhibition, screenings, and live entertainment to spotlight the New York production company founded by filmmaker Larry Fessenden in 1985.
Running from noon to 11 PM at 9 West 8th Street, GEP-CON will give horror fans and independent cinema enthusiasts an opportunity to explore the company’s history through rare physical media, costumes, props, posters, music releases, comics, and behind-the-scenes footage. The celebration will coincide with the IFC Center’s Optic Nerve: A Tribute to Glass Eye Pix screening series, which runs from October 28 through November 3.
The event will also feature appearances by Glass Eye Pix founders, filmmakers, alumni, and collaborators. As the evening progresses, the venue will transition into live programming, including a new performance from the horror audio drama series Tales from Beyond the Pale.
RARE FILMS, COLLECTIBLES, AND MEMORABILIA AT GEP-CON

The GEP-CON pop-up store will offer a wide selection of Glass Eye Pix releases, including Blu-rays and 4K discs from Vinegar Syndrome and Dark Sky Films, hard-to-find VHS tapes, and titles from the company’s new video label. Releases featuring early work by filmmakers Ti West, James Felix McKenney, and Graham Reznick will also be available.
Visitors can browse curated displays of costumes and props from Glass Eye Pix productions dating back to the 1990s. Posters documenting the company’s history will trace its roots to Fessenden’s late-1980s work with East Village performance artist and stuntman David Leslie, also known as The Impact Addict.
Other merchandise includes new T-shirts, handcrafted Wendigo figurines sculpted by James Felix McKenney, soundtrack CDs and vinyl records, and releases connected to Fessenden’s pub rock band Just Desserts.

The event will also feature Glass Eye Comix releases and the debut of The Damned and the Dangerous, a new one-shot graphic novel written by Glenn McQuaid and Ted Geoghegan, with illustrations by Brahm Revel.
GEP-CON will include digital displays featuring mini-documentaries, behind-the-scenes footage, promotional reels, short films, creepy Christmas films, and rare features. These screenings will give attendees a closer look at the creative process and productions behind the independent studio’s extensive catalog.
The evening program will feature a performance of a brand-new episode of Tales from Beyond the Pale, the horror audio drama series co-created by Glenn McQuaid and Larry Fessenden. Special guests will join the performance, followed by music and additional acts before the event concludes with a birthday celebration for Glass Eye Pix.
Founded by Fessenden in 1985, Glass Eye Pix has supported independent filmmakers across horror and other genres. Its productions include Ti West’s The House of the Devil and The Innkeepers, Glenn McQuaid’s I Sell the Dead, and Jim Mickle’s vampire film Stake Land. The company has also been associated with films by Kelly Reichardt, including Wendy and Lucy and River of Grass.
The anniversary celebration arrives alongside the IFC Center’s retrospective, Optic Nerve: A Tribute to Glass Eye Pix. Following the screening series, Fessenden’s latest film, Trauma or, Monsters All, is scheduled to arrive in cinemas on November 4, 2026.
GEP-CON takes place on Saturday, November 7, from noon to 11 PM at Ideal Glass Studio, 9 West 8th Street, Manhattan. The event offers fans a chance to explore the company’s history through films, physical artifacts, and live performances.
