n March 26, 2026, production company TEO and MBC officially confirmed the scheduling plans for the highly anticipated second season of G-Dragon’s music variety show, “Good Day.”
Following a successful first season that aired from February to April 2025, the creative duo of G-Dragon and legendary producer Kim Tae-ho- famous for their chemistry since the “Infinite Challenge” era- will return to the small screen in the second half of 2026.
While the initial announcement of the show’s renewal was made in late 2025, the specific scheduling window has now been narrowed down to the latter months of this year, signaling a major year-end project for the K-pop icon.
Expanding the “Song of the Year” Project with a Star-Studded Lineup
“Good Day” centers on G-Dragon’s role as a primary producer, where he collaborates with influential figures across diverse industries- ranging from film and culinary arts to fellow idol groups- to create a “Song of the Year.”
The upcoming season aims to build on the ambitious scale of Season 1, which featured a staggering lineup including Taeyang, Kim Go-eun, Seventeen, aespa, and chef Anh Sung-jae.
Regarding the creative direction for the new installment, a representative from TEO stated:
“Good Day will be produced as Season 2. It is currently in the planning stages, and while the exact broadcast schedule and filming dates are still being finalized, we are working toward a premiere in the second half of 2026.
G-Dragon will return as the centerpiece, and we aim to deliver a more refined and emotionally resonant creative journey.”
The show’s charitable mission remains intact for the second season. All profits generated from the digital singles and music videos produced during the show are donated to various organizations.

In Season 1, the track “Telepathy, at the Moonlit Window” became a viral hit, not only for its musical quality but for its positive social impact.
This “Good Influence” is expected to be a core theme of the 2026 season, with G-Dragon reportedly personally selecting the charitable causes to be supported this time around.
Anticipation for G-Dragon’s 20th Anniversary and Variety Comeback
The timing of “Good Day” Season 2 is particularly significant as it coincides with G-Dragon’s active year of solo and group-related milestones.
Earlier in February 2026, G-Dragon successfully completed his three-day solo fan meeting, “[FAM+ILY : FAMILY : FAM I LOVE YOU],” at the KSPO Dome, proving his enduring star power.
Industry insiders suggest that the variety show will serve as a bridge to his broader musical plans for late 2026 and early 2027, which mark the 20th anniversary of BIGBANG’s debut.
Fans are particularly excited about the potential for deeper behind-the-scenes glimpses into his creative process, as a TEO official noted:
“As it is currently in the planning stages, nothing has been finalized except for the production of Season 2. However, G-Dragon is actively involved in the conceptualization to ensure this season offers something truly unique to his fans.”
The reunion with PD Kim Tae-ho is expected to bring back the witty editing and large-scale project feel that viewers loved in “Infinite Challenge.”
While Season 1 faced some challenges, including a minor controversy surrounding actor Kim Soo-hyun that led to edited footage, the production team is reportedly focusing on a tighter, more cohesive narrative for the sequel.
With the second half of 2026 set as the target, “Good Day” Season 2 is poised to be one of the most talked-about variety programs of the year, blending high-caliber music production with G-Dragon’s unparalleled fashion and artistic vision.
