Will Geiger is the writer and director of the American romantic drama movie Elvis and Anabelle. Blake Lively, Max Minghella, Joe Mantegna, Mary Steenburgen, and Keith Carradine are among its prominent actors.
The movie debuted on March 10, 2007, at the Austin, Texas, South by Southwest Film and Music Festival. In 2012, HBO released the movie worldwide.
Little Anabelle entered a beauty contest after being encouraged to do so by her overly ambitious mother. She sadly passed away. Then, something extraordinary occurred. On Elvis’ table, she opened her eyes. Elvis put his goals on wait since he had a lot of obligations to his ailing father.
Elvis and Anabelle grew close, and their unforeseen friendship developed into love. In quest of love and happiness, they set out to face their fears and the challenges surrounding them with the assistance of Elvis’ father.

Plot Of The Movie
Elvis Moreau, a teenager, runs a family funeral home and takes care of his father, Charlie. Since Charlie has had a mental disability for a long time, Elvis now runs the facility.
Charlie, however, is the one who formally renders the services because he lacks his embalming license. Elvis maintains a scrapbook with images of the finished corpses.
Pageant contestant Anabelle Leigh resides nearby with her mother, Geneva, and drunken stepfather, Jimmy. Jimmy most likely abuses her sexually, and she has bulimia. Geneva entered beauty contests when she was a very young age to gain financial independence from men.
Shortly after earning a spot in the national competition, Anabelle passes out on stage. Elvis is dispatched to the Moreaus’ Funeral Home to treat her.
He accidentally captures his entranced kiss on video. As he closes the window after a blast of wind blows it open, Anabelle gasps to life.
As Charlie is awakened and reminded that he is working on Anabelle, the shocked man phones the police. When Anabelle reached Geneva, Jimmy was an entirely different person.
Even though she does not have an eating disorder or a desire to compete in pageants, Geneva persists in pressuring her to continue.
Anabelle visits the Moreaus’ to find out more about that night because she keeps experiencing flashbacks to the moment she wakes up. Elvis rejects her out of concern that she would learn that he performs the embalming.
She returns that night on her bike undercover to lie on the table and relive the event. Charlie then enters as Elvis confronts her, believing someone has broken in. He needs to say that he was the one collaborating with Anabelle, Elvis says.
She requests to stay until daybreak so she may ride her bike home as I walk her out. She does not want to leave, so he permits her to remain.
Elvis and Anabelle slowly start to get along. He joins her as she starts painting the house. Elvis reveals to her the missing person report one morning.
She believes Geneva knows she fled out of frustration. Elvis worries that the cops might discover her there, but they don’t.
Elvis explains that nothing can grow there when Anabelle discovers that the field adjacent to the home is empty.
She begs him to assist her in buying seeds while keeping it a secret and calling it “a miracle.” The cops stop by when Anabelle is in the field looking for her. She’s there voluntarily; therefore, she doesn’t care.
Elvis and Anabelle are still close. On a nighttime stroll, they arrive at the bridge where his mother killed herself. Charlie started taking very lengthy walks after she passed away. On one of them, a beer bottle was used to knock him in the head, rendering him incapable.

As a result, Elvis doesn’t think miracles happen. Another memory is brought on by Anabelle kissing him, so she pulls away. Charlie is upset when Anabelle and Elvis show up there since the police have returned to the house.
He said she had left, even though they knew she was still there. Charlie asks Elvis to accompany Anabelle when she wishes to travel to see a friend who lives far away. At first, reluctant to leave him alone, he eventually changes his mind, and they depart.
Anabelle acknowledges that she doesn’t truly have a buddy in this place as Elvis and she arrives at their destination. Instead, they spend a few weeks living on the beach and develop a close relationship.
Geneva and Jimmy receive a police report; when she wants them to check the home, they are unable to do so because Anabelle ran away and wasn’t kidnapped.
She then makes her way to the Moreaus’ to look around. She contacts the police after discovering Anabelle’s clothing and the image of Elvis kissing her in the mortuary trash.
Elvis and Anabelle stop at a gas station on the way home, where they both see newspapers with the picture and the headlines accusing Elvis of necrophilia. The cashier recognizes them and calls the cops. Elvis gets arrested before he has a chance to explain everything to her.
The pair of Geneva and Jimmy receive Anabelle back. Elvis gets detained and tells the police the truth. She pays him a visit in prison a few days later.
As they dispute, Elvis explains what transpired. She walks away in shock, unable to comprehend how Elvis could not believe in miracles.
When Elvis gets home, he discovers Charlie dead outside. He decides to hang himself because he has no desire to live. The doors to the house are suddenly blown open by a burst of wind, revealing to him Anabelle’s miracle: a field of sunflowers. He barely manages to save himself before rushing out to greet the reporters.
Anabelle is planning her suicide at the same time. Before she can electrocute herself, she moves a running TV toward her bath, where she catches a glimpse of Elvis writing “I love you, Anabelle” on his house.
Elvis enters the field of sunflowers and lies down to observe the flowers and the sky. When Anabelle arrives, they both turn to face the sky.

Elvis And Anabelle’s Ending Explained
The movie “Elvis and Anabelle” ends with love triumphing, and Anabelle and Elvis decide to stay together, finding comfort in each other’s arms away from the demanding outside world. Despite a few bumps in the road and a few tone adjustments along the way, the audience was left with a positive impression of the plot.
Kindhearted Anabelle, a young woman with ambition, entered a beauty competition reluctantly. She triumphed despite her doubts, but tragically had a heart attack and seemed to pass away.
But after receiving a tender kiss from Elvis, a kind but troubled man who works at a family funeral house, she suddenly returns to life.
Anabelle suffered with her newfound celebrity and the unpleasant attention it brought, so she sought solace with Elvis and his father.
Their relationship developed into a sweet romance, adding color to Elvis’ depressing existence. But some who couldn’t grasp their special bond attempted to ruin their happiness.
