Dungeon People First Episode To Officially Air At Anime Expo 2024

HIDIVE is on a hot streak! Following the news of acquiring streaming rights for the anime 2.5 Dimensional Seduction, they’ve now announced the addition of the upcoming anime Dungeon People (or Dungeon no Naka no Hito in Japanese).

The show premieres in Japan on July 5, with a special screening of the first episode at Anime Expo on July 6 at 5:45 PM PST.

The cast features Sayaka Senbongi as Clay, Sayumi Suzushiro as Belle, Naomi Kusumi as Rangado, Nobuo Tobita as the Old Master, Hochu Ohtsuka as Renfringe, and M.A.O as Furin. Note that character name spellings might change.

OLM is producing the anime, directed by Sayaka Yamai, known for Fantasy Bishojo Juniku Ojisan to. Toshimitsu Takeuchi, famous for Saint Seiya: Soul of Gold, is supervising the scripts. Hiromi Nakayama, who worked on ODDTAXI and Odd Taxi: In the Woods, is handling character design. The music is being composed by Pieru and LASTorder.

The original manga by Sui Hutami is available in America through Seven Seas Entertainment, which describes the plot as follows:

Clay, trained by her father to be an expert thief, has been searching for him in a dungeon filled with goblins, a Minotaur, and other dangerous creatures since his disappearance three years ago.

Upon reaching unprecedented depths, she encounters the dungeon’s caretaker. To her astonishment, Clay is invited to join the staff, leading her to discover the inner workings and secrets of the dungeon from the inside.
