Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba fans in the U.S. are in for a treat with an upcoming concert tour featuring music from the beloved anime. Aniplex of America, GEA Live, RoadCo Entertainment, and Crunchyroll have teamed up to produce “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba In Concert.”
This live concert event will debut on September 21 at the Kings Theater in Brooklyn, New York, followed by a performance on September 28 at the Golden Gate Theater in San Francisco, CA. Tickets will be available on the official website starting Friday at 1:00 p.m. EDT, and a trailer is currently streaming on the site.
The concert will showcase an 18-piece live band performing music from the anime, accompanied by a screen displaying scenes from the “Unwavering Resolve” arc, which is the first season of the series. The show will last 2 hours and 30 minutes, including a 20-minute intermission.
The Demon Slayer anime, based on Koyoharu Gotouge’s manga, first aired in April 2019. Aniplex of America licensed the series and made it available to stream on Hulu, Crunchyroll, and Funimation. It also aired on Adult Swim’s Toonami programming block starting in October 2019.
The anime film “Demon Slayer – Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Movie: Mugen Train” was released in Japan in October 2020 and is available for streaming on Crunchyroll. Following the film’s success, the “Mugen Train Arc,” a seven-episode adaptation of the movie, premiered in October 2021.
Shortly after, the “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Entertainment District Arc” (Kimetsu no Yaiba: Yūkaku-hen) aired in December 2021 with a special one-hour premiere. Both arcs were streamed by Funimation and Crunchyroll.
