Delicious in Dungeon is now approaching the conclusion of its debut anime season, and it has introduced new opening and ending themes to mark the arrival of a new party member, Izutsumi.
In the latter half of this spring’s episodes, Laios and his companions head on a more serious quest to defeat the Mad Mage and rescue Laios’ sister, Falin. Their journey reunites them with former party member Shuro, who brings along a host of new characters.
During their return to the surface, Shuro’s party realizes they’ve lost track of one member, Izutsumi. Seeking help from Marcille due to a curse that turns her into a beast person, Izutsumi attempts to attack Marcille, leading to her joining Laios’ party.
The anime has now updated its opening and ending themes to celebrate Izutsumi’s inclusion.
Initially standoffish with the party members, Izutsumi gradually warms up to Laios and the others as they travel together. Her quest to find a cure for her curse becomes a compelling reason for the group to continue their dungeon escapades.
As the series progresses towards the season’s end, Izutsumi’s character is expected to develop further, now a full-time member of the party.
