Star Fox is a 2026 action shooter developed by Velan Studios and published by Nintendo exclusively for Nintendo Switch 2. Based on the Nintendo 64 classic Star Fox 64 (released as Lylat Wars in some regions), the game retells Fox McCloud’s battle against Dr. Andross with completely overhauled visuals, new cinematic scenes, fully voiced dialogue and additional gameplay features. Players pilot the Arwing through branching missions across the Lylat System, while new multiplayer modes expand the classic space-combat formula. Nintendo describes it as a cinematic take on the original Lylat Wars experience.
