Shin Yoon Bok, a studious young man from Seongsan Village in South Korea, has a big responsibility: safeguarding the treasures of the Joseon Dynasty and finding important relics for his family.
Even though he deeply respects the wisdom of his elders and follows their teachings as a Confucian scholar, he also has a modern mindset and sometimes rebels against tradition. Despite his polite manner, he finds it hard to connect emotionally with others and often keeps his distance.
Yoon Bok’s life takes a dramatic turn when he leaves his home in Seoul to pursue his dream of becoming a webtoon writer. Along the way, he meets Kim Hong Do, a woman worn out by life’s challenges. For someone like Yoon Bok, who’s cautious about his feelings, dealing with the rush of emotions ahead won’t be easy.
As Yoon Bok faces this new chapter in his life, he’ll have to confront his inner struggles and learn to open up emotionally. Meeting someone like Kim Hong Do might just push him out of his comfort zone, forcing him to confront his own emotions and vulnerabilities.
