Crunchyroll has officially confirmed that it will stream the highly anticipated Kagurabachi anime beginning in April 2027, bringing one of Weekly Shonen Jump’s fastest-rising manga series to audiences around the world. The streaming service announced that the adaptation will be available globally, excluding Japan, Mainland China, North Korea, and South Korea, when it premieres next year.
The announcement follows the anime’s official reveal and arrives alongside a new trailer spotlighting Togo Shiba, one of the story’s key characters. Crunchyroll also confirmed that Kagurabachi will venture on a worldwide early screening tour ahead of its television debut, giving fans the opportunity to experience the series before its official release.
Since debuting in Weekly Shonen Jump, Takeru Hokazono’s manga has become one of the magazine’s breakout successes, earning widespread praise for its stylish sword combat, supernatural action, and cinematic artwork.
New trailer introduces Togo Shiba
Alongside Crunchyroll’s streaming announcement, the production team revealed a new character trailer and visual featuring Togo Shiba, who will be voiced by veteran voice actor Katsuyuki Konishi.
The newly released footage offers fans another look into the anime’s distinctive visual style while expanding the cast revealed so far.
Previously announced cast members include:

The adaptation is being directed by Tetsuya Takeuchi, with Keigo Sasaki serving as character designer. Animation production is handled by Cypic, the studio known for its work on Umamusume: Cinderella Gray and The Summer Hikaru Died.
Before Kagurabachi officially begins streaming, fans around the world will have the opportunity to watch early episodes during the newly announced Kagurabachi Anime World Tour Part 1.
