CRAVITY main vocalist Woobin is expanding his footprint in the theatrical world after officially being cast as the male lead in the upcoming 2026 production of the musical Caffeine.

Opening on August 20, 2026, at The Good Theater in Daehak-ro, the production marks his second major theatrical endeavor following his musical debut in Romeo and Juliet earlier this year.

Iconic Romantic Comedy Revival and Star-Studded Cast

First premiered in 2008, Caffeine is widely recognized as one of Daehak-ro’s quintessential romantic comedy musicals.

The two-actor show revolves around the subtle, brewing romance between a sommelier and a barista who work in the same cafe at different times of day.

For the 2026 run, Woobin joins a distinguished rotation of musical actors and idol vocalists.

  • Male Lead Lineup: CRAVITY‘s Woobin, VANNER’s Taehwan, E’LAST’s Wonhyuk, and A.cian’s Chu Hyukjin.
  • Female Lead Lineup: Weki Meki’s Ji Suyeon and MOMOLAND’s JooE.

Agency Support and Musical Evolution

Starship Entertainment highlighted Woobin’s technical vocals, composition contributions, and previous theater experience, expressing strong support for his return to the stage.

Reflecting on his casting in the new production, Woobin shared his enthusiasm through his agency:

”I feel excited to challenge a musical once again. I want to show a better version of myself in this work by gathering only the positive aspects I gained from my experience in Romeo and Juliet.”

Following his performance as Romeo at the KEPCO Art Center through May 2026, Woobin’s casting in Caffeine continues to establish his trajectory as a promising musical actor alongside his primary role as CRAVITY’s lead vocalist.
