Actor Choi Woo Shik has become the subject of online controversy after an anonymous social media user claiming to be a flight attendant accused him of displaying rude behaviour during a flight.

Following the spread of the allegations, his agency, Fable Company, released an official statement denying the circulating claims and warning that it would pursue legal action against those responsible for spreading false information.

On November 6, the agency addressed the controversy through its official social media account, specifically referring to posts circulating on Threads.

Fable Company described the information being shared as false and expressed concern about content being distorted or exaggerated to create rumours about the actor.

The statement comes after the alleged flight incident attracted attention across online communities.

While the anonymous account’s claims generated considerable discussion, they have not been independently verified.

The agency has now made clear that it is monitoring the situation and collecting evidence concerning the posts and their distribution.

Anonymous Flight Attendant Accuses Choi Woo Shik of Rude Behaviour

The controversy began when a Threads user claiming to work as a flight attendant shared an account of an alleged encounter with Choi Woo Shik during a flight.

According to the post, the individual initially greeted the actor without recognising him.

When the attendant later approached to take his meal order, Choi allegedly became irritated and spoke to the manager seated beside him.

The user claimed that the actor said,

“Hey, what are you doing? They’re talking to me.”

The post suggested that the attendant found the interaction uncomfortable and only realised the passenger’s identity afterwards.

As the account circulated, it attracted attention from social media users, with some criticising the alleged behaviour and others questioning whether the story was genuine.

However, the claims originated from an anonymous online account and have not been independently substantiated.

Choi Woo Shik has not personally issued a public response to the alleged incident.

The discussion also prompted questions about the credibility of the post, particularly because the account’s details and circumstances have not been publicly established.

Fable Company Warns of Legal Action Against False Rumours

Following the growing online discussion, Fable Company issued a firm statement on November 6, rejecting the spread of information it described as false.

The agency stated:

“Recently, false information related to actor Choi Woo Shik has been spreading, mainly on Threads.

Posting false content recklessly or maliciously distorting and exaggerating to create and spread rumors is a clear illegal act that seriously infringes upon the actor’s honor and rights.

We are continuously monitoring the posts and distribution channels and collecting related materials.

We plan to take legal action against those who write, spread, reproduce, or further distribute false information.”

The company also clarified that its response would extend beyond Choi Woo Shik.

It intends to take similar action against individuals spreading false information, malicious accusations, or defamatory content targeting other actors under its management.

Fable Company urged social media users to avoid sharing unverified claims and emphasised its responsibility to protect the rights and interests of its artists.

Choi Woo Shik is widely recognised for his performances in projects such as Parasite, Train to Busan, and the Netflix series A Killer Paradox.

The latest controversy has brought renewed attention to the actor, although the allegations remain unverified.

For now, Fable Company is monitoring the situation and gathering evidence as it considers legal action.

The agency’s statement makes its position clear: it intends to respond to the circulation of information it considers false through legal channels.
