On July 29, the official YouTube channel of Anplex began streaming the character trailer for one of the most formidable characters in Blue Exorcist, Shiemi Moriyama.
Fans of Blue Exorcist have witnessed many characters evolve throughout the series, but no one has grown more than Shiemi Moriyama. Initially introduced as a timid healer who was frightened by almost everything, Shiemi has since developed into one of the strongest members of the cast.
The newly released trailer showcases her character before the continuation of the anime adaptations. Blue Exorcist – Beyond the Snow Saga is set to premiere in October 2024. This new installment is based on Kazue Kato’s Blue Exorcist manga.
Kazue Kato first began publishing Blue Exorcist in Shueisha’s Jump Square magazine on April 4, 2009. As of December 2022, the manga has 28 published volumes and over 25 million copies in circulation. A-1 Studios adapted the manga into an anime series, with the first season airing in 2011 for 25 episodes. The second season followed six years later, in 2017.
Additionally, the series received an anime film adaptation titled Blue Exorcist: The Movie, which premiered in December 2012.
Crunchyroll currently offers streaming for both previous seasons of Blue Exorcist. The show is described as: Assiah, the realm of humans, and Gehenna, the realm of demons. Normally, these two dimensions would remain separate, but demons are now intruding into the material world.
