Fans waiting for the finale of Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War – The Calamity will have to wait several more weeks. Episodes 49 and 50, which were scheduled to continue the anime’s final stretch, have officially been delayed to October.

According to the announcement from the BLEACH anime production committee via Aniplex, the schedule was changed to give the production team more time to improve the episodes’ quality as the story reaches its climax. The team wants to deliver the remaining episodes in the best possible form.

When Will Episodes 49 and 50 Stream?

The revised schedule also affects streaming. Episode 49 is scheduled to become available across participating streaming platforms from October 20, while Episode 50 will follow on October 27. The exact availability can vary depending on the platform and territory.

For international viewers, the final part has been distributed through Hulu in the United States and Disney+ in many international markets. VIZ Media’s official brand information also lists The Calamity as the final part of the anime and confirms its international distribution through Disney+.

The delay means viewers will not immediately move from Episode 48 into the final two episodes. Instead, the anime’s broadcast schedule will temporarily shift toward a selection of previously released episodes.

A Special Bleach Recap Will Fill the Gap

To keep the series in the spotlight while production continues, the TV Tokyo network will broadcast a four-week climax selection beginning September 19.

The selected episodes are designed to revisit important moments leading into Ichigo Kurosaki’s final confrontation with Yhwach. The schedule includes Episode 7, Born in the Dark, on September 19, followed by Episode 28, Kill the King, on September 26. Episode 46, The End, will air on October 5, with Episode 48, The End Two Worlds, scheduled for October 12.

This selection gives viewers an opportunity to revisit some of the anime’s most important developments before the story resumes with its final two episodes.
