After just four days on the theatrical circuit, Justin Baldoni’s It Ends with Us is on track to enter a key box office list. The film is currently at 21st position on the 2024 domestic Box Office chart, just $10 million behind the Jason Statham movie The Beekeeper.

It Ends with Us has already earned a notable $56 million domestically and an additional $30 million internationally, bringing its total to over $86 million. With the current daily earnings rate, the film is expected to surpass The Beekeeper within the next 48 hours, as interest and its ranking continue to rise.

Star Blake Lively, from It Ends with Us, forms a prominent August Box Office duo with her partner Ryan Reynolds, who is currently featured in the third Deadpool film, Deadpool and Wolverine.

Since the release of It Ends with Us, both Lively and Reynolds have frequently topped the daily rankings, with Lively’s film performing even better than Reynolds’. Though Reynolds’ sequel is also doing well financially, Lively may still share a few playful remarks at home.

What is ‘It Ends with Us’ About?

Adapting novels for the screen is a common trend, especially as the film industry seeks out existing intellectual properties. Colleen Hoover, a highly praised author, has had her work adapted for the first time. The film stars Blake Lively as Lily Bloom, a woman who moves to Boston to escape her traumatic past and pursue her dreams.

Unexpectedly, Lily meets and falls for neurosurgeon Ryle (Justin Baldoni), leading to an intense relationship that reveals aspects of Ryle that Lily had not anticipated. As their relationship deepens, Lily’s past trauma resurfaces.

In addition to Lively and Baldoni, who also directs, It Ends with Us includes a cast with Jenny Slate as Allysa, Brandon Sklenar as Atlas, Hasan Minhaj as Marshall, Kevin McKidd as Andrew, Amy Morton as Jenny, and others.

The screenplay was written by Christy Hall, known for I Am Not Okay with This, with executive producers Andrea Ajemian, John Logan Pierson, Todd Black, Andrew Calof, and Steve Sarowitz.
