Prime Video has revealed a new trailer and official teaser key art for Blade Runner 2099 during its panel at New York Comic Con on October 10, 2026. The upcoming science-fiction limited series continues the franchise’s exploration of artificial intelligence, identity, and what it means to be human, moving the story forward five decades after the events of Blade Runner 2049.

The series stars Michelle Yeoh and Hunter Schafer, with Dimitri Abold and Lewis Gribben also appearing as series regulars. Showrunner and creator Silka Luisa joined members of the cast and executive production team at the convention to discuss the project and its futuristic setting.

All eight episodes of Blade Runner 2099 are scheduled to premiere on November 25, 2026, exclusively on Prime Video in more than 240 countries and territories. The limited series aims to expand the franchise’s dystopian universe with a new story about survival, replicants, and a city facing a potentially devastating secret.

BLADE RUNNER 2099 FOLLOWS CORA AND A DYING REPLICANT

The story takes place in a transformed Los Angeles where humanity no longer controls the city’s future. Hunter Schafer plays Cora, a fugitive who adopts the identity of a Blade Runner in a final attempt to escape her past. She is paired with Olwen, a Replicant portrayed by Michelle Yeoh who has only days left to live.

According to the official Prime Video series page, the unlikely partners pursue a runaway whose hidden secret could threaten the city’s fragile stability. The premise continues the franchise’s focus on artificial life, identity, and the boundaries separating humans from Replicants.
